Google and Yahoo Merger?

No, but Google and Yahoo are in talks to
incorporate the Google Ad-Sense Advertising techniques to the Yahoo
search engines and other Yahoo owned programs. Currently Google is
responsible for 70% of all advertisements put out online. Yahoo owns
about 20%, while the other 10% is made up of individual advertising
firms.

Vice President of Google, Omid Kordestani, stated that Google
already provides a similar service to Ask.com and AOL. This means that
Google would be responsible for all advertising on Ask, AOL and Yahoo,
the three largest search engines excluding Google of course.

Yahoo states “Advertisers will pay Google directly for each click on
Google paid search results appearing on Yahoo owned and operated
network or certain affiliate sites. Google will share a percentage of
such revenue with Yahoo”.

The only problem that arises here is the issue of a monopoly.
Microsoft is Google’s biggest threat. Microsoft is willing to take
Google to court, on the premise that Google is becoming a monopoly, and
that it owns more than 90% of all advertising from the internet.
Google’s position is that it is the internet, and advertising, and that
they aren’t technically a monopoly yet, since 10% is still unaccounted
for.

Pixar and John Lasseter

As we all know, Disney’s Animation division,
Pixar is the new leading company for animated films. It is almost
impossible these days to put out a successful animated film without it
coming out of Pixar.

In 2006, The Walt Disney Company bought Pixar for the unheard of
amount of $7.4 billion dollars. This put John Lasseter as the Top
Executive earning $2.9 million annually.

The Disney-Pixar merge is a relief to Lasseter. Inspired by Disney
Movies as a child, Lasseter aspired to be a Disney animator. He was
admitted and graduated from Disney affiliated “California Institute of
the Arts”. Upon graduation, he was hired to work as a Disney Animator.

Upon the dawn of three dimentional animation in the 80’s, Pixar was
undergoing Company shifting. Steve Job, CEO of Apple, actually bought
out Pixar from George Lucas, creator of Star Wars. Upon Apple’s
purchase, Lasseter made the dicision to move with the future and join
Pixar.

Ever since the day Lasseter joined Pixar, the incoporation of new
technology and the acient form of story telling has been phenominal.
Every single Pixar animated feature film, has been a gian Blockbuster.

Wall-e was Pixar’s last achievement, which extended Pixar’s fan base
beyond belief. All Disney, Pixar, Animators, and Technology fans await
Pixar’s next masterpeice.
